Should Monster Egg Group be its own type?

Unlike the traditional fan type posts, this one is an idea I personally had, though it was considered by others before. The idea is that since all Egg Groups have a type or two that embodies it, would it make sense for Monster to get its own type. The traditional types Monster Egg Group all have their own Egg Groups, Dragon has Dragon, Ground, and Normal have Field, Rock, Steel and Ice have Mineral, Water has Water 1,2,3, Poison has Amorphous and Grass has Grass. With the precedence of Fairy-type, this is an idea that makes sense on paper. However there are a few issues:
  1. The amount of species exclusive to Monster Egg Group is limited, much more than Fairy Egg Group, and most of them are not mono-type.
  2. Most of the mono-type species in Monster Egg Group belong to an Egg Group that embodies their primary type, like the ones posted above.
  3. Because the kaiju are varied, giving a type specification is difficult without taking points from Bug and Dragon.
Though, there are few advantages:
  1. Monster Egg Group has its own Body style, the bipedal-tailed form.
  2. Thrash and Stomp are common moves for the Egg Group, which can serve as a basis for a full moveset for the potential type.
  3. Each generation with the exception of Johto has at least one species that can be converted to this type.
Some ideas for this type could be:
  1. Most of the dinosaur species in the franchise belong to Monster Egg Group in one way or another. If the franchise goes the same route as some fangames, they can have non-fossil dinosaur-like species in this Egg Group and this can be a "Dino-type".
  2. While the term kaiju refers to only large movie monsters, in the Japanese language, the term refers to all tokusatsu monsters, like the humanoid Super Sentai/Power Rangers and Kamen Rider villains, but also movie aliens. In other words, Universal monsters and other movie monsters like the Thing(pre-John Carpenter plant monster) and the plant from Little Shop of Horrors (the original psychic plant, not Audrey II from 1980s musical) can also work, so can characters like Beetlejuice in homage to SMT II.
  3. Similarly, many common horror or urban folklore monsters, especially the large ones, can be put into this type, like Lovecraftian species, Leviathan, Kraken, Giant Enemy Crab etc.
  4. Monster can be a good a middle point between Normal and Dragon, like how Fairy was for Normal and Psychic. It would be more common than Dragon in terms of distribution, but due to being a new type it would have roughly equivalent or less members that just appear a lot.
Possible type interactions would be:
  1. Similar but weaker elemental interactions to Dragon. Perhaps resistance to Electric and Water like Dragon, but neutral interactions to Ice, Fire, and Grass.
  2. Weakness to Dragon and Dark to give it some sort of conflict between these two types, and to buff them offensively.
  3. Resistance by Rock, Grass and Ice maybe? Most Monster Egg Group members can learn Earthquake, so resistance by Rock wouldn't hurt a lot, same goes for Grass and Ice. Offensively, there aren't a lot of types they can work against outside of Water and Ground without breaking the game, but I guess something can be figured out after other types are rebalanced.
