Gen XII:
- Console: Tentatively Nintendo Switch's successor's successor. As Switch's fate as a handheld remains dubious, I am going to put this as tentative.
- Year: 2031-2032. 2031 is if Switch is released in 2017. 2032 is if Nintendo has a real successor to 3DS in 2018.
- Location basis: From most likely to least likely:
- Belgium: Part of already appears in the Kalos map, so that should be an obvious choice. Belgium also has a large French community, which makes it a more obvious choice.
- Netherlands: Just near Belgium, it makes an interesting region.
- Portugal: Similar to Belgium, Portugal has a rich history that can be used for interesting plots.
Sweden:Switzerland: The only other country of Europe that Nintendo really cares about besides Austria and Russia(no, Nintendo, South Africa is not part of Europe. This isn't 1910s anymore).
- Dex structure. Either around 65 Pokémon and 35 new forms, or a 90-100 new species. There will almost certainly going to be new means of providing de-facto evolutions, whether they are new forms or something else, as this an even generation.
- Increased irrelevancy of elemental type moves: As the remaining move archetypes get covered, the differences between types' moves should start to diminish, causing some interesting cross-pollination.
- New field move: At this point, another new set of non-elemental field effects should happen. Whatever these successors to Rooms might be, they will ascend a few archetypes in the franchise.
- Less location dependent encounters: As the amount of possible regions start to decline, we will see less justification for biome shenanigans, causing oddities like encountering Ice-types in the middle of a city.
- Less evolutions, more forms: Because they sell better. However, we should see some shift from battle-only forms and cosmetic forms to permanent variants.
- End of body styles: They will instead be replaced by Egg Groups in the Pokédex. Abolishment of body types should increase the amount of moveset shenanigans, as Pokémon will no longer have to be considered bipedal to use punching stuff.

On legendaries:
-A possible repeat of B/W. The associate types of Pixies, Fire, Ice and Grass, can be used for typing. Sub-typing that is shared can be Dark
-A possible repeat of G/S: One of the sub-legendary typings from the previous generation can be used.
-Something else entirely new: Some oxymoronic typings like Fire/Ice, Bug/Dragon and Normal/Ghost can be a thing.
Sub-legendaries can be the Tapus and UBs.

- Psychic: Should have around 145 species and 102 moves.
- Bug: Should have around 143 species and 50 moves.
- Fire: Should have around 112 species and 60 moves.
