How to improve: 696-697: Tyrunt-Tyrantrum

1.Stats: Should Tyrantrum get a stat boost, Evolution, Mega Evolution or nothing?

Tyrantrum can get +19 BST at most.

Tyrantrum would not work with an Evolution, however it would like a mid-evo and a side-evo.

Tyrantrum is perfect for a Mega Evolution with its unique typing and Ability combinations, but it would need some slight buffs in regards to its stats and movepools, as a Mega Evolution will not work by simply increasing its largest stats.

2.Should Tyrantrum get more abilities?

Yes. Tyrantrum only has two abilities, so Tough Claws, Reckless, Sand Force and Sand Rush are options.

3. Should Tyrantrum get more moves?

Yes. Swords Dance is an obvious option, but Psychic Fangs, Submission, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Play Rough and Elemental Punches are also options.

4.What additional typing Tyrantrum can have?

Normal, Dark, Ground are options. Fighting and Steel are also lesser options.

How to improve: 410-411: Shieldon-Bastiodon

1.Stats: Should Bastiodon get a stat boost, Evolution, Mega Evolution or nothing?

Bastiodon can get +45 BST.

Bastiodon would work best with either a mid-evo or a Magmortar-style evolution, but what it would want most would be a faster side-evo with focus on status spam.

Bastiodon would work well with a Mega, but it would be a rip-off of Mega Aggron, which isn't very good.

2.Should Bastiodon get more abilities?

Sand Force, Clear Body and Light Metal are options. Bastiodon doesn't have third Ability, so anything can work really.

3. Should Bastiodon get more moves?

Yes. Thunder Wave, Nasty Plot, Barrier, Amnesia, Flame Burst, Mirror Shot, Magnet Bomb etc. are all possibilities.

4.What additional typing Bastiodon can have?

Normal, Ground, Fire and Electric are options. Ice and Fighting are lesser options.

How to improve: 084-085: Doduo-Dodrio

1.Stats: Should Dodrio get a stat boost, Evolution, Mega Evolution or nothing?

Dodrio got a +10 BST, but can feasibly get a +70 BST.

Dodrio would work best with an Evolution, but its large design would work best with a pre-evo or mid-evo. A Specially focused side-evo with Sound moves would also work great.

A Mega Evolution would be a waste without at least a +40 BST boost.

2.Should Dodrio get more abilities?

Pretty much all of Dodrio's Abilities are terrible. Literally anything will be better. Tough Claws, Sheer Force, Retaliate, Defiant, Intimidate, even Inner Focus would be better.

3. Should Dodrio get more moves?

Kicking moves like Low Kick, Blaze Kick, Double Kick, Triple Kick etc. should be obvious options. Drill Run and Dark-type moves like Power Trip and Beat Up are obvious options.

4.What additional typing Dodrio can have?

Dark, Fighting, Steel and Ground are the only options, as Dodrio doesn't have a large movepool.

How to improve: 081-082-462: Magnemite-Magneton-Magnezone

1.Stats: Should Magnezone get a stat boost, Evolution, Mega Evolution or nothing?

Magnezone already has 535 BST, so it can feasibly get +5 BST.

Magnezone can probably work best with a Mega Evolution, but Magneton would adore a fast side-evolution.

2.Should Magnezone get more abilities?

Magnezone already has three good Abilities. Only other possible Ability would be Levitate or Clear Body.

3. Should Magnezone get more moves?

Yes. Magnezone largely only has STAB moves, so it would enjoy more moves such as:

*Psychic, Psyshock, Psybeam, Psywave, Zen Headbutt.
*Heat Wave, Ice Beam, Aurora Beam
*Dazzling Gleam.
*And Rollout, Head Smash, Rock Tomb, Rock Slide and Stone Edge.

Status moves could include Nasty Plot, Amnesia, and Autotomize.

4.What additional typing Magnezone can have?

Pure Electric is the most obvious option, but Normal and Psychic are also possible. Magnezone sadly has a dry movepool, so there isn't much option.

How to improve: 355-356-477: Duskull-Dusclops-Dusknoir

1.Stats: Should Dusknoir get a stat boost, Evolution, Mega Evolution or nothing?

Dusknoir can have +15 BST boost, which will help it immensely. However, Dusknoir would be best fit with a Mega and a side evolution.

Regular Duskull can also have a side middle-evo as well, something more Specially oriented perhaps.

2.Should Dusknoir get more abilities?

Dusknoir can get Cursed Body or Iron Fist. There are other abilities like Synchronize, Magic Guard and Analytic available, but these would be the most thematically fitting. An insta-Gravity ability would be the best, though.

3.Should Dusknoir get more moves?

Yes. Outside of Phantom Force and Shadow Claw, Dusknoir can get Power Trip, Nasty Plot, Swords Dance, Bulk Up, Cosmic Power, Psycho Shift and Recover.

4.What additional typing Dusknoir can have?

Dark, Psychic and Fighting are the most obvious options, but Electric, Fire and Ice can also work.

How to improve: 155-156-157: Cyndaquil-Quilava-Typhlosion

1.Stats: Should Typhlosion get a stat boost, Evolution, Mega Evolution or nothing?

Typhlosion cannot get more stat boosts than +6. A side evolution with a real typing and stats would be good, but what Typhlosion needs most is a Mega Evolution with a real type and Ability.

2.Should Typhlosion get more abilities?

Definitely. Considering Typhlosion is just a re-skinned Charizard, it can get Solar Power or Tough Claws, but what would be most fitting for Typhlosion would be either White Smoke, Sheer Force, Reckless or Intimidate/Competitive.

3.Should Typhlosion get more moves?

Yes. Most obviously it should get older moves like Iron Tail, but it needs a wider range of moves. As it got Extrasensory in HGSS, it would make sense for it to get moves like Role Play, Ally Switch, Mirror Coat, Stored Power, and Power Trip. Nasty Plot would also be very good as a move, so would Swords Dance and Drain Punch. Head Smash would be useful as well.

4.What additional typing Typhlosion can have?

Fighting, Ground and Normal are the obvious types for Typhlosion, but it can get Rock, Steel and Dark as well.

How to improve: 585-586: Deerling-Sawsbuck

1.Stats: Should Sawsbuck get a stat boost, Evolution, Mega Evolution or nothing?

Despite being considered an early-game Pokémon in the Best Wishes animé, Sawsbuck is not an early game monster, but rather a mid-game one. This means its 475 BST is completely unacceptable in 2010, and most certainly in 2018 as well.

Sawsbuck can get at most +65 BST, but it would probably make more sense to have a middle-evo or an evolution.

A Mega could be good if its different forms gain alternate types in Mega Evolution, or a season related ability.

2.Should Sawsbuck get more abilities?

Yes. Outside of Serene Grace Sawsbuck's abilities are just above average, and it has nothing related to seasons, as seasons no longer exist in the current games.

3.Should Sawsbuck get more moves?

Yes.  More Ground and Rock-type moves like Stomping Tantrum, Magnitude, Earthquake and Stone Edge would be helpful. More Dark-type moves like Beat Up and Power Trip would be great as well.

4.What additional typing Sawsbuck can have?

Dark, Fighting, and potentially Ground and Electric are options. Sawsbuck has a really poor moveset, so the options are limited.
